You Won't Know Everyone in This Celeb Gun Violence PSA & That Gives It Power (VIDEO)

Jennifer Aniston, Amy Schumer, Sofia VergaraA few people you may have heard of -- like, oh, Jennifer Aniston, Amy Schumer, Sofia Vergara, Michael J. Fox, and Julianne Moore, for starters -- teamed up with President Obama for a gun violence PSA. But there's something that makes this video different from the typical celebrity message, and it makes it all the more powerful ...

These A-List celebs are mixed in with dozens of "regular people," of all ages and races. In fact, you probably have to watch it a few times to even spot all of the stars!

Check it out:

Did you catch Amanda Peet? Olivia Munn? Nathan Lane? Holly Hunter? Even if you did, didn't they just kind of all blend in together with everyone else? I love that!

In general, I have mixed feelings about celebrity PSAs. The assumption that we should listen to what a celeb is saying pretty much just because he or she is famous really rubs me the wrong way (even if it's something I totally agree with!). On the other hand, I do think it's great when people with great privilege and resources try to do some good in the world. So, you see: mixed feelings

But with this PSA, I don't have any reservations ... because the message is loud and clear: We're all in this together.

We are all just people, going about our lives, not looking glamorous or special in any way -- and we're ready to do something about this insanity that is the gun epidemic in this country. I won't even go into any of the statistics now. If you're reading this, you know.

If you didn't notice at the end of the video, you can click a link to "add your voice." That link takes you to the We Can End Gun Violence website, where you can record yourself and add it to the video! And, you can check out other ways to get involved.

The important thing to realize now is what President Obama sums up in his appearance in the PSA: "When we come together, Americans can do anything."

Yes, we can. And we must.
