Yolanda Foster Blogs About Kindness After Announcing Divorce From Husband David

Yolanda and David FosterReal Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster and her husband of four years, David, are calling it quits. Interestingly, Foster took to her Bravo website blog Tuesday after making the divorce announcement, and shared a few words about compassion.

The couple made their split public via an announcement to Us Weekly, as you do.

"Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways," read their joint statement. "We've shared 9 beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues."

Ah ... the key word there might be "health issue" -- rumor has it that a big part of the problem between the two is the way David treated Yolanda after she got sick with Lyme disease back in 2012.

"Things really changed in their relationship as Yolanda got sick, and then when her health worsened," a "source" revealed to People. "David travels all the time and they simply weren't spending any time together."

The former model has really been struggling, as any followers of the show will know. She's been documenting her search for a cure on her Instagram account, and it really looks like it's been a difficult journey.

Of course, no one really knows what goes on between two people, but if you can't count on the support of your mate through the hard times, then it's a doomed relationship, that's for sure.

The new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered the same day as the divorce announcement, so it was certainly a busy day publicity-wise for Yolanda. She really seems to be working hard on finding a way to accept her life as it is, even though it's still a hard road -- and judging from this week's episode, she can't count too much on her fellow Housewives.

She certainly has a few words of wisdom that we can all benefit from ...

"I could look at tonight’s episode with mixed emotions, but I’ve grown apart from looking at what’s NOT," Yolanda wrote after the season premiere, on her blog post titled I've Learned to Accept People’s Lack of Long-Term Compassion. "I am blessed to have a voice and a platform that can bring awareness to not only my disease but to the most profound lesson of it all, which is to lead a life with compassion, kindness, and without judgment, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about."

So true. Here's to hoping Yolanda gets more of the support she needs ... and that she gets better soon!
