Jessa Duggar Reveals How She Deals With Internet Backlash

She may be basking in the glow of new motherhood, but there's one thing this reality star refuses to do: Jessa (Duggar) Seewald will not Google herself. The 19 Kids and Counting star has had quite a year of ups and downs, but she claims that she knows who she is -- and doesn't feel the need to pay attention to what the Internet says about her.

Amen. There are so many reality stars who engage in online battles that it's nice to know that Jessa and her hubby Ben Seewald are keeping it real. And who can blame them, after all the grief her eldest brother Josh Duggar has put the family through this year?

It was just last spring that Jessa (along with sister Jill Dillard) self-identified as one of Josh's underage victims of molestation when he was a young teen. She had forgiven him ... but then there was the bombshell that he had used the website Ashley Madison to cheat on his lovely wife Anna, and Jessa has been somewhat outspoken about Josh's hypocritical nature.

Anyway, she's managed to survive the media scrutiny with one simple step -- she's ignored it.

After welcoming a baby boy last Thursday, one day after her birthday, the new mom told People magazine, "Sometimes, it is uncomfortable, the things you see, the things you read, especially when things are reported in an inaccurate way -- it's not always nice."

And she revealed how she deals with the not-nice talk about herself on the Internet. "I don't Google my name," Jessa confessed. "There's no reason for that, or to look to other people for that validation. We know who we are and find joy and satisfaction in God."

Her adorable husband added, "As long as you have the love of God, it doesn't matter if everyone in the world hates you. Just having God's acceptance is what matters."

It sounds like these two have their heads screwed on straight. Many blessings to them as they enter this next stage of life together!
