Kristen Taekman Quits 'RHONY' After Husband's Ashley Madison Scandal

Another Real Housewives of New York City star is saying farewell to the show, and we can't help but speculate as to why she decided to call it quits after just two seasons. Kristen Taekman is leaving RHONY to concentrate on her family, and that's probably a good decision.

Her husband, Josh Taekman, was one of the many people exposed in the Ashley Madison hack over the summer. Millions of people were outed as members of the infamous infidelity website, including fellow reality star Josh Duggar.

At the time, Kristen's hubby released a statement saying he was "foolish" and "ignorant" to sign up for the site, and that he was very, very sorry. He said that he and his wife looked forward to "moving past this and getting on with our lives."

Doesn't it make sense that she'd want to stay out of the limelight in order to figure out how to move forward with her family? Of course she didn't reference the scandal at all in her good-bye statement to Us Weekly, other than to say, "I have decided to concentrate on my family."

She also said that she's taking some time to work on her latest business ventures -- Pop of Color nail polish and her fashion blog, Last Night's Look. She also said, "I will remain a Housewife and part of an amazing franchise forever and that is what is important."

Whatever the reason behind her departure from the show (of which there are many, for sure), we wish her nothing but the best moving forward.
