Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale's Divorce Agreement Sounds Very Un-Hollywood

gavin rossdale gwen stefani familyGwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale didn't have a prenup, but they were able to come to an agreement in settling their divorce. And it sounds very amicable, very un-Hollywood. Which is wonderful news since the couple has three kids together -- Kingston is 9, Zuma is 6, and Apollo is just 19 months old.

Stefani and Rossdale have agreed to a shared physical custody of their kids -- 50/50. There are reportedly details in the paperwork outlining the kids may be with one parent more if the other is on tour. It seems that they are very realistic when it comes to this and are also going to remain "partners in parenthood."

Thank goodness. Their kids are young -- this is something they need to deal with for the rest of their lives, and getting along is key. They also need to be very flexible when it comes to custody because so many things can change or happen as the years pass. Things like who is paying for soccer lessons? Who will drive the kids to dance class? Who is paying for college? All these things need to be worked out, and if the divorce is contentious, that isn't good for anyone.

Apparently, Gwen and Gavin have been having marital problems for quite some time -- even before the birth of their youngest, Apollo. They weren't able to work it out, but thankfully it seems they are going to be great co-parents, focusing on the kids and making sure they know they are still a family, just under slightly different terms. I wish this was the norm and not a rarity.
