Though she looks like the picture of perfect health, the raven-haired songstress says she "could've had a stroke." You can only imagine how infuriating it must have been for her to battle the autoimmune disease at the same time she's plagued by rumors that she's off in rehab!

Taking the high road, Gomez tells Billboard magazine she definitely wanted to tell the haters, "You're as-holes!" But instead she says she stayed out of the public eye until she felt comfortable and confident again.

Good for her for not engaging in a social media war, which would no doubt have taken a toll on her health. Choosing to remain above the fray and take care of herself proves just how much the former Wizards of Waverly Place star has grown up.

News like this reminds us that we never really know what anyone else is going through. So rather than speculate, sometimes it's best to keep our mouths shut.
