Selma Blair Has Nothing but Nice Things to Say About Doppelgänger Kris Jenner

selma blair, kris jennerIt's got to be weird to see an actor play the part of YOU in a movie -- and that's exactly what Kris Jenner is about to experience when the upcoming series American Crime Story: The People vs O.J. Simpson debuts on FX. But at least it sounds like the momager got pretty lucky in terms of casting: Not only is Selma Blair (cast in the role of Kris) gorgeous, but Selma's actually a big fan of Kris's!

“I found her to be endearing and extremely intelligent and warm and generous. I don’t have enough good things to say about her," the 43-year-old actress told Us Weekly.

"I thought she was wonderful. I don’t think I knew just how amazingly likeable she is and how giving.”

Awww, how sweet! And if that's the way she feels, there's no doubt Selma did her best to portray Kris with compassion in The People vs O.J. Simpson, which tells the tale of the former NFL star's 1995 murder trial (Simpson was of course accused of killing his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman).

More from The Stir: Kris Jenner Feels Guilty About Friend Nicole Brown's Death

In case you somehow were unaware of this fact, Kris was Nicole's best friend; Kris's ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, represented O.J. Simpson in the trial as his defense attorney. Naturally this created some tension between Kris and Robert, which will almost certainly be a plot point in the series (Robert is being played by David Schwimmer). Even more of an indicator that Selma will treat this story with respect? She says she was deeply affected by the murder at the time.

“I remember really following the O.J. Simpson case and really feeling tremendously for Ron Goldman’s family and Nicole Brown Simpson,” she said. “I think it’s important to keep remembering.”

Then, of course, there's the obvious physical resemblance between Selma and her subject.

“People do say I look like Kris,” said Selma.

“You kind of have to get in her mindset from like 20 years ago with this trial.”

According to recent comments from Kris, that would be a pretty turbulent mindset (the 59-year-old says she still feels guilty about what happened to her friend). But all of that drama makes for good TV! And who knows, maybe a catharsis for Kris!

Sadly, we'll have to wait until February when the series premieres to find out!
