Kate Middleton Described as 'Down-to-Earth & Chill' by Student -- We're Not Surprised (VIDEO)

For her first major "work" gig since giving birth to Princess Charlotte, Kate Middleton visited a London children's center to meet and greet both kids and parents.

Dressed in a houndstooth-print shirt dress, Kate looked incredible with her freshly clipped bangs and lengthy strands worn down.

I'm so not shocked by one student's report that the Duchess of Cambridge is completely down-to-earth and even "chill," because we've kind of figured that all along. Kate and Prince William have always struck me as the kind of couple that would be awesome to hang out with at a dinner party, so I'm really glad this kiddo confirms what I kind of assumed all along. Here's the boy's firsthand account of meeting Kate.

And how nice is it to see Kate out and about again? While I 100 percent did not agree with all of the criticism surrounding her taking time off out of the public eye after Charlotte's birth, I do live for a good Kate Middleton fashion sighting. That dress is going to fly off the racks in a second, if it hasn't already.

And another fun tidbit from Kate's school visit: This wasn't just any old children's center; it was the Anna Freud Centre, which treats kids who have mental health issues. Seems like she's picking and choosing her work duties very wisely. Good job, Kate!
