5Claudia Schiffer: Then

When you're hand-picked by Karl Langerfield to model for Chanel, you know you've reached success of model proportions. Schiffer was discovered at a disco in Dusseldorf, Germany, at 17, and it was the model scout who convinced the beauty to move to the City of Lights.  Schiffer has since graced over 500 covers and many ad campaigns. You may recall she was also famously engaged to magician David Copperfield from 1994-1999, during the height of her career.

7Karen Mulder: Then

Having been discovered in 1985 at the young age of 15, the Elite Model of the Year winner has posed for every major designer on the radar. Earning up to $10,000 a day, the Dutch beauty was one of the '90s top supermodels.

8Karen Mulder: Now

Mulder recently took the number one spot in People With Money's top 10 highest paid models. That would be an estimated $96 million in earnings, in case you were wondering. But her endorsements (Cover Girl), restaurants (she owns several, including The Fat Mulder burger chain), and fashion line (Karen Mulder Seduction) puts her estimated net worth at $275 million. Mulder, who reportedly suffers from depression, is known in her home country of the Netherlands for her public breakdowns and suicide attempts.

11Niki Taylor: Then

The Florida native signed with a modeling agency at 13, and subsequently won a Fresh Faces contest in New York for $500,000 and a modeling contract. She landed her first cover, Seventeen, at 14. With her All-American beach girl looks, it's no shock that Taylor was named one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in 1991. Taylor also became the first spokesperson under 18 to score a major contract with Cover Girl.

12Niki Taylor: Now

The gorgeous mom of two has seen her share of tragedy since her modeling days. Taylor was in a devastating car accident in 2001, which left her in a coma for six months. Taylor also lost her sister, Krissy, who was only 17 at the time, to an undiagnosed heart condition. The  supermodel overcame her setbacks and is now married to NASCAR driver Burney Lamar. The couple has two children, and Taylor also has twin boys from her first marriage to football player Matt Martinez. She appeared on the fourth season of Celebrity Apprentice.

13Helena Christensen: Then

The gorgeous Danish supermodel graciously stumbled upon modeling when she won Miss Copenhagen. The misinterpretation led to a huge Revlon contract, a Miss Universe pageant, and eventually to modeling for many luxury brands. She also famously went topless for the sexy music video for Chris Isaaks' "Wicked Game."

14Helena Christensen: Now

The Victoria's Secret Angel is still gorgeous and modeling. Christenesn has taken a turn behind the camera as well. The model's photography has appeared in Marie Claire, Elle and a few galleries. While the beautiful Christensen was once tied to INXS frontman Michael Hutchinson, these days she's been dating Interpol Singer, Paul Banks.

15Milla Jovovich: Then

When most girls her age were playing with Barbies, 12-year-old Jovovich was launching her modeling career on the cover of Italian magazine, Lei. She became the face of Revlon and spring-boarded her career into film, appearing in Blue Lagoon 2, at only 15. Beyond her acting career, the multi-talented beauty even released a music album, Divine Comedy.

17Kate Moss: Then

Gone were the days of bright-eyed beauties of the '80s fashion world, the new trend of the 90's was dubbed "heroin chic." Characterized by pale skin and an emaciated look, Kate Moss owned the look. Calvin Klein snatched up the waifish model for his campaigns, where she appeared for a decade (at least).

18Kate Moss: Now

Those cheekbones, that angular jaw — Moss's beauty is a stark as ever. In 2007, Time Magazine named the beauty one of the world's 100 Most Influential People. The model has a daughter with party boy Jefferson Hack, but she's married to guitarist Jamie Hince of The Kills.

19Carla Bruni: Then

Heiress to the Italian tire manufacturing company, CEAT, the dark-haired beauty was picked up, through her comp cards no less, by Paul Marciano of Guess. Bruni went on to model for other fashion powerhouses such as Dior, Givenchy, and Chanel.

20Carla Bruni: Now

Bruni said "ciao" to the modeling world to devote herself to music, and it seems that she had a voice to parallel her gorgeous looks. Having released four albums, the singer scored the 2004 European Borders Breakers Award, which recognizes emerging talent. Bruni is married to former French president Nicolas Sarkozy. Rumor has it Sarkozy was a kept man by his far wealthier wife. Now that the pair has left office, Bruni's focus is on selling her wrinkle cream.

22Heidi Klum: Now

One of the highest paid models in the industry, Klum has enjoyed much success as host, judge and executive producer of the highly acclaimed TV show, Project Runway. With a bod like hers, it should come as no suprise that Klum would have an ultra successful lingerie line, Heidi Klum Intimates. But just who is the ex-wife of Seal intimate with these days? That would be 27-year-old Vito Schnabel. Looking as good as she does at 42 with four kids, we say he's one lucky guy!

23Rebecca Romijn: Then

24Rebecca Romijn: Now

While many men ogled Romijn on the cover of Sports Illustrated, it was ultimately John Stamos who stole her heart in 2005. The couple divorced after seven years, and Romijn was later swept off her supermodel feet by actor Jerry O'Connell. The couple are parents to twin girls, but the natural beauty isn't purely in mommy mode. Switching roles from modeling to acting paid off for Romijn, as she has appeared in many TV and film roles, including Ugly Betty and X Men.
