The One Thing We Need to See in the 10th Anniversary Re-Release of 'Twilight'

It's been a decade since Stephenie Meyer's novel about sparkly vampires came out, and you know what that means. Twlight's 10th anniversary will be marked with a re-release of the book, along with some extra bonus content.

Yup, it's been 10 years since the beginnings of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan's love story was unleashed on the public, and author Stephenie Meyer has promised some new material in the re-release of the original novel Twilight.

Unfortunately, none of us knows what that is yet. It could be a reunion of sorts, catching up on the vamps 10 years later, or even a prequel explaining how the Cullen family ended up together.

Regardless, Meyer had this to say about the 10th anniversary of the book's publication:

It's amazing to me that 10 years have passed since Twilight was first published. For me, this anniversary is a celebration of the fans, with all of their incredible passion and dedication. I'm excited to get to spend time with them again.

Here's what we hope to find in the bonus material. Let's go back a few years to Meyer's Midnight Sun, the book she wrote as a version of Twilight from Edward's perspective. The manuscript was leaked before she completed it, and she decided to just let it go.

Enter Fifty Shades of Grey, the fan fiction-turned-phenomenon that made EL James richer than both Stephenie Meyer and J.K Rowling. Maybe combined. I haven't done the math. James undoubtedly got even richer after she published Grey, the novel that told the Fifty Shades saga from Christian's perspective.

Given that Meyer never got to finish her retelling from Edward's point of view, we can't help but hope that's what the mysterious bonus material is about.

I guess we will just have to wait until October 6, when the book is out, to see what goodies Stephenie Meyer has given us.
