How Josh Duggar Almost Ruined Amy Duggar's Wedding Day

It was the dream wedding that almost didn't happen. Amy Duggar got married over the weekend, and admitted that she almost called the wedding off after Josh made his sex confession. Even though the scheduled event went on, there was no love lost for Amy over Josh's absence.

"We're still shocked and furious to the extreme," Amy told People magazine, talking about Josh's confession last month to using the website Ashley Madison to cheat on his wife Anna. He also admitted that he was addicted to porn, but later deleted that part of the confession.

Anyway, Josh was supposed to MC part of the reception, but couldn't make it, seeing as how he's supposedly in a Christian rehab facility in Rockford, Illinois. All Amy had to say about it was, "Let's let him be gone ... Let's let him get as much help as possible."

The wedding had already been planned by the time Josh made his illicit confession about betraying his entire family, but Amy still considered calling it off.

"We almost eloped," Amy admitted, talking about her plans with then-fiancé Dillon King. "We thought about it so hard. We didn't want attention to be about what happened."

They decided to go ahead with the party, and get down with about 400 guests who had already been invited. It would have been such a pain in the butt to cancel all of that just because Josh was a dick.

Amy's mom (Jim Bob Duggar's sister) said, "I think she would have always regretted that ... I told her don't worry about all this other going on. That has nothing to do with us ... I'm glad she had her beautiful, fairy-tale dream wedding."
