Robert Pattinson Reveals His True Feelings About Making Another 'Twilight' Film

Could there be another Twilight movie in the making? Robert Pattinson recently revealed that he'd be down for reprising his role as Edward Cullen, and Twi-hard hearts everywhere jumped with joy. But even though he confessed that he would do it, he remained mum on the prospect of filming with his girlfriend Kristen Stewart again.

In an interview with Elle France, the 29-year-old talked about Twilight being a "happy accident" where he met director David Cronenberg. When he was asked if he'd consider stepping into the role of Stephenie Meyer's sparkly vampire again, he replied, "Why not!"

But there's a catch, of course. After a very nasty and public split from his costar Kristen Stewart, it's unlikely that the two will want to play the married Edward and Bella on screen.

He respectfully declined to talk about KStew in the interview, saying, "I preferred not to broach the subject." Well, we can't exactly blame him there.

More from The Stir: Robert Pattinson Goes to Crazy Lengths to Avoid Kristen Stewart

It will be interesting to see if either star does a spin-off of some sort, since Kristen's also expressed interest recently in a reboot of the franchise, saying she was "genuinely, heavily entrenched" by it.

Of course it would be awesome if they could reunite on screen, especially given that they've both moved on in their personal lives. Pattinson is engaged to singer FKA Twigs, and Stewart is reportedly in a relationship with Alicia Cargile.

Come on, guys. We need more Edward and Bella!
