Kate Middleton Is Finally Headed Back to Work as Maternity Leave Officially Ends

kate middletonShe's baaaack. After four months of royal maternity leave, Kate Middleton is going back to work. In no time, the duchess will be packing herself a sandwich the night before, laying her clothes out before she goes to bed, and then waking up to the blaring sound of an alarm on her phone before heading into the office after a hellish commute. Just kidding. But, Kate is resuming her royal duties. Yay!

After giving birth to the adorable Princess Charlotte in May, the duchess is said to have enjoyed a fun summer spending time with her two children. However, our girl is ready to get back to work, and her soon-to-be-busy schedule is kicking off with a visit to the Anna Freud Centre in London next week in an effort to focus on the mental health issues from which young people are suffering.

Shortly thereafter, the future queen will be attending the opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup with Prince William and Prince Harry. No word on whether her two sweet kiddos will be in attendance as well.

While heading back to work after giving birth is never an easy thing, it's likely that Kate feels more comfortable this time around, being that she's already been down this road. It's always harder the first time. Also, let's not forget that Kate is incredibly blessed in the fact that she doesn't have a "job" that requires her to be away from her children 12 hours a day. She'll likely still have plenty of snuggle time with her children.

Kate, dust off your fascinators and shine those nude LK Bennett pumps. It's time to go back to work, girl. And, in the case that it makes the transition any easier, please know that you've been seriously missed. Bring on the princess!
