15 Unforgettable Celebrity TV Weddings We Couldn't Wait to Watch (PHOTOS)

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes princesses, reality TV stars, teen idols, and more celebrities whom we couldn't wait to watch walk down the aisle on our very own television screens. The romances. The wedding dresses. The over-the-top, well, everything, including the ratings!

Here's a look at 15 of the most unforgettable celebrity weddings to be captured on television.

Granted the marriage only lasted 72 days, but it sure was fun to watch the reality star wed NBA player Kris Humphries in an over-the-top wedding in Montecito, California in August, 2011. From the $2 million engagement ring to the $6,000 wedding cake, the Kardashian-style fete was all part of a four-hour special on E!

The Hills alums were not fan favorites, but their wedding episode was a must-see nonetheless. There seemed to be as much curiosity about whether former BFF Lauren Conrad would show up than about Heidi's dress or anything else having to do with the ceremony. When Lauren finally arrived, we gasped, hopeful the girls would finally make up. No can do. Years later, the relationship between the girls remains estranged and the couple has only become stranger, thanks to Heidi's multiple plastic surgeries and the pair's odd behavior on additional reality shows such as Marriage Boot Camp. Still, they've managed to stay married since 2009.

  • Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey

The former teen idols and reality TV stars wed at the Riverview Church in Austin, Texas, on October 26, 2002, in front of 250 of their closest friends (plus millions of fans tuning in from home). After divorcing in 2005, Simpson met and married football player Eric Johnson, while Lachey married former MTV veejay Vanessa Minnillo. Both couples have two children.

  • Prince William & Catherine (Kate) Middleton

From the bride's exquisite gown to the royal kiss, this real-life fairy tale has been dubbed the wedding of the decade. On April 29, 2011, Kate Middleton officially became known to the world as The Duchess of Cambridge. Watched by 3 billion (that's a 'b' not an 'm'), the wedding featured a grand guest list that was as much fun to watch as sister Pippa's now-famous bottom strutting down the aisle.

  • Trista Rehn & Ryan Sutter

The first and perhaps the most memorable Bachlorette wedding, Rehn and Sutter's $3.77 million affair was seen by 17 million fans in 2003. The event was such a huge deal that helicopters flying overhead made it difficult for the pair to say their vows during the ceremony. Today they have two children and another television show under their belts, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars

  • Rob Mariano & Amber Brkich

Nothing like a little prime-time wedding for Survivor and Amazing Race alums known simply as Rob and Amber. The couple, whom we watched fall in love on television, sealed their union at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas in April, 2005. They recently welcomed a fourth child, proving that they they are, in fact, survivors.

  • Bethenny Frankel & Jason Hoppy

The Skinny Girl Cocktails founder and Real Housewives of New York alum wed her beau at the Four Seasons in New York while sporting a very pregnant belly. The pair went on to star in their own reality shows, Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After, before the marriage dissolved into a bitter, public custody battle over baby Bryn. Frankel's hilarious antics and sassy one-liners made the wedding episode a hoot to watch. Fave moment: When the fully dressed bride crouched and peed into a cup just before walking down the aisle.

  • Jason Mesnick & Molly Malaney

This Bachelor wedding almost didn't happen, as Mesnick originally gave his final rose -- and an engagement ring -- to Dancing With The Stars' Melissa Rycroft. But it was Malaney, the runner up, whom he couldn't stop thinking about, and the pair finally married on February 27, 2010, in the rain at California's Terranea Resort. They now have two children; a son, Ty, from Mesnick's previous relationship, and a daughter named Riley.

The sassiest of the Kardashian sisters married the NBA player at a private estate in Beverly Hills in September, 2009, after only knowing each other  a few weeks. We loved the TV couple so much we watched them on Khloe & Lamar for a few seasons until Odom's reported cheating and drug abuse prompted their split in 2013.
