Kylie Jenner Has This Whole Adulthood Thing Down, Okay?

kris jenner, kylie jennerThere's been a lot of talk lately about Kylie Jenner "growing up too fast," what with her lavish, weeks-long 18th birthday celebration and her 25-year-old rapper boyfriend Tyga (who gave her a $320K car). But one person thinks Kylie's growing up at just the right pace: mom Kris Jenner!

Forget worrying about too much, too soon. Forget wondering whether or not Tyga is too old for the barely legal reality star. 'Cause Kylie is doing A-OK according to Mom:

“She’s definitely coming into her own," says Kris.

"She was 18 recently and moved into her own house so she’s got a lot on her plate, a lot of responsibility and she’s handling it really well."

Let's just take a look at that one sentence for a sec: "She was 18 recently and moved into her own house." That sort of tells you everything you need to know right there, when you think about it. I mean, how many 18-year-olds are moving into their own house?? Not dorm room, not apartment with five other 18-year-old roommates, but HOUSE?! Granted, the trajectory of Kylie's youth bears little to no resemblance to the average teen's, but not many teens are ready to handle all the responsibilities that come along with home ownership. Kylie does indeed have "a lot on her plate."

Then again, a lot of what's on her plate is MONEY, which makes handling all manner of things a lot easier, so I guess that helps. I think the takeaway here, however, is as follows: Kylie Jenner is just fine. Yes, she's living life in a fairly fast lane for an 18-year-old, but she's got plenty of support, both familial and financial, so maybe we should worry more about other 18-year-olds who don't have $320K Ferraris. (And, not for nothing, but don't ALL kids grow up kinda fast these days in one way or another?)

Happy birthday AGAIN, Kylie! Please stop turning 18.
