Kristen Stewart Is Tackling New Coco Chanel Role in a 'Mean' Way

Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld loves casting high-profile actresses in the role of the fashion house's founder for artsy, short films, and now he has his sights set on Kristen Stewart.

The American Ultra actress is the latest star tapped to play a version of the iconic Coco Chanel, but with a twist that's totally perfect for Kristen's brooding persona.

Vanity Fair reports that Kristen was actually portray an actress who is playing Coco, and this thespian is mean. Like, seriously mean.

She played it really, really mean. You only see her in tests and she's complaining about everything. She’s mean with the director; mean with the producer.

In order to pull this off without it looking completely campy, you'd need someone with serious acting chops, which Kristen totally has. The Twilight Saga star may not have had the opportunity to fully flex her talent in that franchise, but anyone who has followed the rest of her work knows the woman can work the big screen.

The film will have a December 1 premiere in Rome and then will likely roll out online for the rest of the world to see after that.
