Fatal Car Crash Could Possibly Lead to Jail Time for Caitlyn Jenner

If the Los Angeles police have their way, Caitlyn Jenner will be charged for manslaughter in the fatal car crash last February. She may even face jail time for the offense -- and just in case you were wondering, she will reportedly do time in a women's prison.

Before she made her transition, Caitlyn Jenner was involved in a car accident in Malibu on the Pacific Coast Highway. Authorities apparently want her convicted of manslaughter, which could result in up to a year in jail.

Given that Caitlyn was still publicly identifying as Bruce Jenner at the time of the crash, certain questions have arisen, including whether or not she would be required to spend time in a male or female prison.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has promised that she will be incarcerated in a women's facility, should it come to that. A spokesperson said, "We make accommodations for that."

Investigators have found that Jenner was driving "unsafe for the prevailing road conditions" before crashing crashing into the back of a Lexus, sending that vehicle into oncoming traffic. Sixty-nine-year-old Kim Howe was the driver of the other car, who ultimately lost her life in the crash. Jenner's collision caused Howe's vehicle to spin into oncoming traffic, where she was fatally struck.

This whole thing sucks, no matter how you look at it. We will probably never know exactly what happened in that crash, but no matter what Caitlyn is charged with, we hope that Kim Howe's family is able to find peace.
