Kate Middleton & Mum Carole Are Reportedly Plotting Their 'Escape' From the Queen

Kate MIddleton and familyQueen Elizabeth is reportedly pretty unhappy with how much time Kate Middleton is taking away from her duchess duties to tend to her children, and now Kate may be planning a major power play. Reportedly dubbed the "Duchess of Do Little" by the Queen, Kate and mom Carole Middleton are plotting a Mustique island vacation to dodge the monarch's many orders.

(Gah. Can we really blame them from wanting to escape from all the royal pomp and circumstance?)

And if this little rumor is true, they couldn't have picked a better place to jet off to. Mustique is Kate and William's favorite vacation destination because it offers unparalleled privacy for the royal family. But Celeb Dirty Laundry reports the duchess along with Carole and Pippa Middleton are planning to whisk Prince George and Princess Charlotte away for a beachy trip in an effort to keep Queen Elizabeth away.

Here's a question: Can't the two sides of the family just do their own vacations without anyone getting all excited about the idea of a feud? I mean, it would make sense that each set of grandparents would want their own time with George and Charlotte. Plus, is it really all that strange for a mother and daughter to take a trip together without the rest of the crew? Does it really indicate some type of problem in the family dynamic? Maybe, maybe not.

But apparently the royals prove to be the ultimate in high stakes among in-laws. Must be a real drag.
