Sharon Stone Talks About Her Brain -- But Shows Off Her Beauty -- With Nude 'Harper's Bazaar' Shoot (PHOTO)

Sharon Stone, Red CarpetIn an industry that's always on to the next one, it can be troubling for many to find work and maintain relevance -- especially women. Sharon Stone is baring all in the September issue of Harper's BAZAAR where the 57-year-old comes clean about life, health, and finding her way back into the spotlight.

Need I remind you that Sharon is just shy of 60 and looks AH-MAZ-ING?!

Her ageless beauty is a testament to her staying power as Stone refuses to give up when it comes to dreams and, more importantly, her health. For the first time ever, Sharon feels comfortable in her skin to discuss her journey that includes recovering from an aneurysm, stroke, and brain hemorrhage.

"I was hemorrhaging so much that my brain had been pushed into the front of my face," Stone recalls. Enduring a cerebral hemorrhage -- including a ruptured vertebral artery -- back in 2001 that lasted nine days, Sharon tells Harper's BAZAAR of moments where she feared death and was so thankful for life. Months turned into years as the Basic Instinct star fought to regain normal vision and feeling back to different parts of her body. "It took two years for my body just to absorb all the internal bleeding I had," she adds.

It's so hard to imagine anyone going through something like this, and while it might naturally make some retreat to their corners, it was the fuel Sharon needed for her rebirth.

"I thought, 'You know what? I got thrown off the bullet train, and now I'm going to have to crawl up a hill of broken glass, get back on the train that's going a million miles an hour, and work my way from the cattle car up," says Stone, who will make her comeback (with clothes on) with the TNT series Agent X. "That's just the way it is, so I'd better get humble and shut the f--k up and do the job."

Sharon always had a fearlessness that commands your attention. Whether it was her iconic leg cross in Basic Instinct or her ability to redefine red carpet fashion with a shirt from the GAP, she is a name we'll never forget. These images are tastefully beautiful. They not only celebrate the female form, but let Hollywood know there's no expiration date when it comes to women.
