Kate Middleton Ripped to Shreds All Because of a Few Stray Gray Hairs

kate middletonPrincess Kate Middleton always looks beautiful to me. She's the Duchess of Cambridge and has her own little prince and princess, but she is very much just like you and me. Kate loves her jeans and her wedges and isn't afraid to wear the same thing over and over again. Still, not everyone is a fan of her choices, namely this hairstylist to the stars who is criticizing Kate for letting her gray hairs show.

Nicky Clarke, celeb hairdresser who had done the locks of Princess Diana and others, doesn't think women should have gray hair though it's okay for men. He said:

Kate needs to get rid of her gray hair -- it's not a good look. She does have amazing things done to her hair and it can look great, but unfortunately it's the case for women -- all women -- that until you're really old, you can't be seen to have any gray hairs.

It's different for men. Men can go gray in their mid-50s and still be considered attractive -- it's the whole silver fox thing -- but it’s not the same for women.

Kate is such a style icon that even a few strands of gray would be a disaster, so I highly recommend that she cover it up. I hate gray hair.

Okay then. He can have his opinion, but I have mine. Kate's grays don't have to be covered up unless she wants them covered up. Gray hair isn't some awful thing. It's silver strands of glitter! And I can think of about 347 things I'd rather do than worry about when I'm going to find the time to cover up my grays in order to make some other person happy. Gray hair isn't a sign of giving up -- it can mean so many things. Like, I'm too busy to color my hair. Or I love my gray. Or even, Calm down, everyone, it's just gray. I'll color it soon enough.

Gray hair has made quite a mark in fashion. Some people are coloring their hair gray on purpose. You can also also look to model Carmen Dell'Orefice, fashion expert Stacy London, or Emmylou Harris for gray inspiration.

Kate’s current hairdresser is Amanda Cook Tucker -- and I think she's doing a superb job. Those locks of hers are always shiny and healthy-looking. Gray hair isn't a disaster -- in fact, it's inspiring that Kate isn't worrying about those silly little things and is focusing on what's important.
