Glammed-Up Tilda Swinton Is Completely Unrecognizable in 'Trainwreck': See for Yourself (PHOTOS)

Tilda Swinton is one of the most gorgeous women on earth, which is why I'm sort of gobsmacked people are losing their collective minds over Tilda's "makeover" in Amy Schumer's Trainwreck. Tilda has always gone the extra mile when it comes to using her costumes and makeup to get into character.

Tilda is gorgeous. She has always been gorgeous. And yes, we are used to seeing her pale and platinum, looking more Bowie than even Bowie looks.

Tilda said her character was inspired by not only legendary editor of French Vogue Carine Roitfeld, but also from another high fashion style icon:

She's kind of pitched herself at that because she thinks that's like the kind of alpha female magazine editor and that was it really. That she would be dressed in Victoria Beckham because she kind of aspires to Victoria Beckham's aesthetic and is a train wreck, let's face it! But it's all done very scrupulously, she's trying to look as absolutely alpha as she can.

It really doesn't matter who she is playing in a film, whether that be a high-street-looking alpha magazine editor or a terrifying dictator like she did in Snowpiercer, Tilda is an amazingly brave actor because she's never shied away from truly using her costumes to transform herself into the character she is playing.

I cannot wait to see how she looks in her upcoming role as The Ancient One in 2016's Doctor Strange.
