Kate Middleton Is Getting Her Sea Legs Ready for the America’s Cup World Series

Kate Middleton is showing the world how she can balance motherhood, work, and even fit in play -- for herself and Will. Kate loves sailing, and is an experienced sailor as well, so what better way to have a little holiday doing your favorite thing. She and Prince William are heading to America's Cup World Series in Portsmouth on July 26 to watch the competition and present medals. But just how nautical will Kate get?

I'm thinking she is going to fit in as much sailing as she can. You can't taking a boat lover to the waters and not expect them to set sail. We can bet she's going to be cheering on Land Rover BAR, Sir Ben Ainslie's team. He's the Olympian who has pledged to bring the cup home to England. She quite fancies him and his pledge.

Kate, who sailed the world in a yacht, will no doubt get behind a ship's wheel. (In nautical stripes perhaps?) She is a royal Princess, after all. Don't they have magic wands for things like that? (I think I've watched too many Sofia the Firsts.)

We also have to remember (and constantly remind her husband) that Kate beat Prince William during a boat race around Auckland Harbour last year in New Zealand. I love the outings and experiences these two have. I know, I know -- they are royalty and they get certain perks. But they are also parents to two kids now. They are fitting in time just for the two of them, doing something that Kate really enjoys. That's love. And vital for a good marriage.
