Kate Middleton Was Beyond Gorgeous at Princess Charlotte's Christening (PHOTOS)

Congratulations, Princess Charlotte! Royal baby #2 was officially christened today in a ceremony at the 16th-century Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham estate in Paddington, London, and guess what? Everybody looked unbelievably gorgeous -- especially her mom, Kate Middleton, who can rock a fascinator like nobody's business!

Kate was the picture of baptismal bliss in an impeccable cream suit by Alexander McQueen (the aforementioned fascinator was by Jane Taylor), which somehow managed to be a teensy-weensy bit edgy while still being proper enough for the Queen (and church). And let me tell you, if I thought I'd look half as cool pushing an old-fashioned pram as Kate looks, I'd be trading in my 2015 Chicco stroller ASAP.

Prince George, meanwhile, in his little red shorts and Mary Jane shoes and Peter Pan–collared white blouse with red smocking, looked like the sort of cherubic fantasy child you might see on the side of a vintage cookie tin from the Netherlands. As for Prince William, he looked very much like one might expect a prince to look while watching his infant daughter's christening, which is to say, very proud in a very well-bred sort of way.

Of course you're wondering about the baby of the hour: What was Charlotte wearing?! The same historic gown her big brother wore a year and a half ago, of course: an exact replica of the christening gown worn by Queen Victoria's first child in 1841. It was worn by all royal babies in between that year and 2004 (Prince Charles, the Queen, and Prince William were all baptized wearing it). She was absolutely breathtaking, naturally, and reportedly only cried briefly when Kate lifted her out of the pram. Awww, sweet girl! Just look:

Can you imagine how beautiful that girl's going to be? Can't wait for the first birthday pics!
