Kanye West Gets a Taste of His Own Stage-Crashing Medicine

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? So maybe Kanye West should take it as a complement that he got majorly Kanye'd by a British comedian who ran across the stage during his performance at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday. After all, Yeezus has been known to interrupt people on stage before (ahem, Taylor Swift). So who was the intrepid funny man with enough bravado to bust up Mr. Kim Kardashian's set?

Simon Brodkin, a comedian who plays a character called "Lee Nelson," somehow broke through security to dash across the stage during "Black Skinhead." West stopped rapping momentarily, but started right back up again when a guard escorted Brodkin off stage. So, no harm done, and it is kind of funny that somebody almost didn't let Kanye "Imma let you finish" West finish his show! The funniest part, though, was the T-shirt Brodkin wore for the occasion (a play on Kanye's nickname and his character's name):

Pretty clever, huh? Apparently neither Kanye nor Kim Kardashian, who was in the audience, even acknowledged the incident on social media, so who knows whether they thought it was funny or annoying or a combination of both. But considering Kim's highly amused reaction to Seth Rogan and James Franco's spoof of the Bound 2 video, I'm gonna guess they probably laughed about the prank. After all, like we said, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and who doesn't like to be flattered? ('Cause we're pretty dang sure Kanye West likes it. A lot.)

Anyway, the whole thing was practically over before it started, as you can see from BBC Radio's video tweet:

Snagged! Nice try, Brodkin, but everybody knows you can't mess with Yeezus. Or at least not for long.

Do you think Kanye West deserved to be Kanye'd?
