Kim Kardashian Admits Her Relationship With Caitlyn Jenner Has Changed

From the moment Caitlyn Jenner was "born," the head of the Kardashian/Jenner family has been vocal and upfront about which of her children has proven the most supportive: and that honor goes to Kim Kardashian. Caitlyn has praised Kim for encouraging her to transition into a woman and live life as her true self-- and for even offering a few great fashion and beauty tips (I can't imagine a more suitable source of inspiration). The love is mutual-- because Kim has a lot of great things to say about her stepdad in return.

While at a yacht party in Cannes, Kim, who is pregnant with her second child (a boy!), opened up about what life is like now that her stepdad is living her life as a woman. And, actually, it isn't all that different, she says. After lauding her siblings for "adjusting really, really well" and showing their support for Caitlyn, Kim admitted she has a different relationship with her dad now, but it sounds even better than before.

"We're definitely closer and I understand her a bit better, and her struggle," Kim reportedly told MailOnline. "I respect all of her decisions, and I think it's great that she can be so honest and brave and be who she wants to be."

More from The Stir: Caitlyn Jenner's Kids Gave Her 'Feminine' Father's Day Gifts This Year

Kim also confirmed that Father's Day this year was special and sweet -- she, Kanye West, North, and most of her siblings and their significant others lavished attention and gifts on Caitlyn at a party thrown at Jenner's Malibu home.

I admit: The more I learn about Kim and Caitlyn's relationship, the more I feel there is a lot more to the 34-year-old reality show star than a couple of bikini selfies and a healthy derriere. Her best kept secret is that she is empathetic, loyal, and loving -- and I'm thrilled for Caitlyn that she has someone like her in her corner.

What do you think about Kim and Caitlyn's new relationship?
