NFL Star Goes on Homophobic Rant After Supreme Court Ruling on Same Sex Marriage

Oyza. I know that plenty of people don't agree with Friday's Supreme Court decision to legalize gay marriage, but that doesn't mean anyone needs to be so nasty about it. Vikings cornerback Josh Robinson took to Twitter to share his feelings about the matter after the decision, and it was pretty awful.

The NFL star likened gay marriage to incest and pedophilia, because of course he did. And the worst part is that he started quoting Bible verses to back up his thoughts on the matter. It's fine if you want to share God's word -- in fact, I personally encourage it, being a Bible-thumper myself.

But God also says that judgment is His, and His alone. And we are commanded to love one another. Robinson's tweets weren't exactly filled with compassion.

"Love is love? So what will we say when the 30yr old loves YOUR 10 year old. When the dad loves HIS 6 year old? It's different? Yea okay!" the 24-year-old wrote. "The day one person makes that stand, some may support, but many will say that's sick! That day I will say 'hypocrites.'"

"When did we start defining a word by using that word? Smh. If you really want to know. Love is ... 1Cor 13:1-13," he continued. Um, yeah, I'm pretty familiar with 1 Corinthians, and I'm pretty sure it says "love is kind," among other things.

Before making his Twitter profile private, Robinson ended his rant with, "In the end EVERYONE has a right to believe what they want to believe. You shared yours, I shares mine. #BelieveiT ... As a Christian I love EVERYONE and I will always share my beliefs we may not agree and that's ok. God is love, 1John 4:8.'"

Oh good. It's all OK, guys, because he loves everyone! Even the married gays, who are basically the same as pedophiles.

No. Just no. Believe in gay marriage religiously or not, but don't try to say that consenting adults in a mutual relationship are anything even close to child abuse. That's just sick and wrong.

Do you think that Josh Robinson was out of line?
