Brandi Glanville Shares How She Really Felt When Eddie Cibrian Left Her for LeAnn Rimes

Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes definitely have a contentious past, considering that Brandi was married to LeAnn's husband when the two of them began their relationship. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently opened up and admitted that once upon a time, she blamed herself for Ediie Cibrian's affair with the country crooner.

The reality star appeared on Ora TV's Brown Bag Wine Tasting recently, where she was interviewed by William Shatner about the demise of her marriage. She admitted that Eddie had had several affairs, and while she tried to forgive him, ultimately she had to move on.

"He had extra girlfriends, I guess you can say," she confessed. "He had some ladies on the side." Another of Eddie's infamous affairs was with Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie, whom Glanville confronted in an emotionally-charged episode of RHOBH in 2013.

Even though she knew about her hubsband's indiscretions, she said she "tried" to forgive him. In 2010, she finally decided to leave after nine years of marriage and two sons together. She admitted, "When I found out there was more than a couple [of affairs], I decided I was better off on my own."

It wasn't all sunshine and roses though. "It's almost like a death," Glanville told Shatner. "You mourn, you die a little bit. Who you were as a wife and a mother, you're no longer that person."

Isn't that the truth? I've been through a painful divorce with someone I thought I knew, and there's nothing easy about it, even if you know it's necessary to move forward with your life.

Brandi also admitted that she fell victim to the blame game -- but mostly toward herself. "It took me about a year to figure out that it had nothing to do with me," she shared about Cibrian's affairs. "But it took a while ... I was wondering how I could be any better than I was. Was I not tall enough? Skinny enough? Are my boobs not big enough? Should I have blue eyes? It was all of that."

Eventually, she said that she was able to set aside her insecurities, and realize that Eddie's cheating wasn't about her at all. "It made me a better person to go through that," Glanville said. "And to figure out that it had nothing to do with me."

The end of a marriage is a difficult thing to process, especially when infidelity is involved. Brandi seems to be doing just fine these days, and even though she and LeAnn have certainly had their share of Twitter barbs in the past, she seems to be staying above the fray recently. Good for her, and I hope she keeps it up.

Would you stay with someone who cheated on you multiple times?
