They may look up to their older sisters as style icons, but Kendall and Kylie Jenner said, "Thanks, but no thanks," to any input from Kim, Khloe and Kourtney when it came down to designing their new line for Topshop.

Ouch! Dissed and dismissed.

At the launch party for their collaboration with the fast fashion retailer, Kylie told E!:

We actually don't want their opinion. We want it to be all us and really authentic. And just from us.

Well, okay then. We totally get it. The Kendall + Kylie collection is young and fun, with oversized tropical floral prints and breezy maxi dresses. The Kardashian Kollection, for Sears, is much bolder and mature, with lots of animal print and metallics. The overall feel of each line is very, very different.

Fortunately, Kendall and Kylie were open to sharing opinions and ideas for the collection, which is almost completely sold out online, save a t-shirt and a dress.

During her E! interview, Kylie said:

It's cool to have two different opinions in the one because some of our fans might be obsessed with my style and some might be obsessed with Kendall's. So it's cool that we both had this collaboration together.

Good for Kendall and Kylie for striving to have their own identities instead of riding their sisters' coattails! They may be young, but they already seem to have a good sense of how to handle themselves in the business world.

Do you think Kendall and Kylie should have consulted with their sisters on the Topshop line?
