Prince William Can't Hide His Delight Over Precious Gift for Princess Charlotte (PHOTO)

The royal couple are country folk now — at least for the time being. Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, and little baby Princess Charlotte are currently residing at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where they can get used to living life as a family of four without so many prying city eyes and paparazzi at their doorstep.

While participating in the Audi Polo Challenge this past weekend, Will got the most adorable gift for his little princess — one she's definitely going to get a lot of use out of if they continue to spend time in the country.

Andre Konsbruck, director of Audi UK, presented the 32-year-old prince, who took part in the event alongside Prince Harry, with a little white box wrapped in bright pink ribbon. I think the look on his face tells you everything you need to know about his thoughts on the sweet gift inside:

Pink Wellington boots! For anyone who doesn't own a pair, you are missing out on the ultimate rain/snow boot — these sturdy babies will last you 100 years, can be easily cleaned, and won't allow a drop of precipitation to hit your socks. Considering the couple's down-to-Earth nature, I can totally picture them allowing Charlotte and George to run around the yard and splash in muddy puddles and these super-cute Wellies are going to come in handy.

A good pair of Wellington boots isn't cheap — Hunter boots average about $145 — but I love the fact that the Prince was given a gift that some of us might receive for our own babies (or for ourselves!) And Prince Will isn't faking excitement — he looks genuinely happy about this sensible, sweet gift for his soon-to-be outdoorsy peanut.

What do you think about this gift for Princess Charlotte?
