Romantic regrets, we've all got a few. Whether it was a fling that went sour or a great love lost, celebrities are no different than us when it comes to wishing they'd done things differently in a past relationship.

From songs and Tweets to oh-so-casual statements that just happened to make their way into a magazine interview, read on for 10 celebrities who've publicly wished for a do-over with their ex.

Which ex confession surprised you the most?

P. Diddy

Sean Combs, AKA P. Diddy, may be worth a reported $700 million, but what's a billion dollars without a great woman by your side? The 44-year-old rap mogul was recently overheard at a restaurant discussing his ex Cameron Diaz, calling her the "sexiest girl in the world."

"If I could turn back time, things would be different!" P. Diddy supposedly said to a dinner table of friends when Diaz's new relationship with Benji Madden came up as a topic of conversation.

The couple first got together in 2008 after meeting at the Oscars and dated casually on and off until going their own ways in 2012.

Robin Thicke

There's subtly wishing your wife to forgive your (allegedly) cheating on her, and then there's what Robin Thicke did, which was to dedicate an entire album to his ex and publicly beg for her forgiveness at awards shows.

The 37-year-old singer was married to actress Paula Patton for nine years before she left him in early 2014, supposedly due to his wandering eye.

Despite Thicke's declarations of love, however, Patton officially filed for divorce in October.

Aaron Carter may have dated Hilary Duff over 14 years ago when they were both barely in their teens, but don't try to tell him that it wasn't true love.

When news broke earlier this year that Duff and husband Mike Comrie were separating, Carter took to Twitter to write: "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think."

A month later, Carter publicly declared his intentions again on Entertainment Tonight:

"I don't know who she is today, she doesn't know who I am today, but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong."

Lamar Odom

To say that Lamar Odom regrets his split from wife Khloe Kardashian might be an understatement.

After four years of marriage, the basketball player and reality star called it quits, but reportedly, Odom is refusing to move on and sign the divorce papers.

"I love my wife. She'll always be my wife, no matter what ... Who knows? We don't know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife," he said back in February.

For Kris Jenner, the one who got away isn't Bruce Jenner (whom she is currently divorcing) or OJ Simpson (whom she was rumored to have a fling with back in 1976), but her first husband, Robert Kardashian.

The couple were married for 13 years and had four children -- Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and Rob -- before splitting up in 1991.

"The one regret, if I had to do it over, would be divorcing Robert Kardashian," she recently admitted. "But then there wouldn't have been Kendall and Kylie, so that's the way I look at that."

Publicly admitting that you took your spouse for granted doesn't seem the most comfortable of statements to make, but that's exactly what Michael Douglas did when reflecting on his separation from wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The couple, who briefly separated in 2012 after 14 years of marriage, have since reconciled, due to Douglas's efforts to woo his actress wife back.

"You can never take your marriage for granted," he said recently.

Amanda Seyfried

It's been years since Amanda Seyfried split from British beau Dominic Cooper, but that hasn't stopped her from continuing to mull over their breakup.

"We love each other," the actress said in 2013 of her ex. "He'll always be in my life regardless of what his girlfriends or future wife think. I'm never going to be with a guy that can't deal with my friendship with him."

In 2014, Seyfried added of their relationship: "We had such an amazing experience, so special and separate from everything else that we'd experienced in life."

It sounds like someone is still nursing a broken heart.

When Jef Holm and Bachelorette Emily Maynard got engaged in 2012, it seemed like true love, despite meeting on a reality TV show. However, they split a few months later.

Just a week after announcing the end of their engagement, Holm seemed to regret the breakup and retweeted a message that read, "if u have a good girl hold on to her tight! They are hard to come by these days..." and added "wise words" to the thought.

Since divorcing her ex-husband David Arquette in 2012 after 10 years of marriage, Courteney Cox has gained some perspective on their marriage, albeit tinged with regret:

"When you love someone, you want them to be happy, even if it's not with you," she said in January 2014. "In divorce you always have regret ... We were married for a long time, so it's not like we didn't try."

When singer Rita Ora and DJ Calvin Harris got together in 2013, it seemed like a match made in music heaven. But things quickly fell apart for the couple just a year later with Harris announcing the breakup on Twitter, reportedly leaving Ora crushed and full of regret over the split.

"It was the right guy at the wrong time," she later said in an interview. "I was about to start a tour, and he was also all over the place. There's only so much you can do when you don't see each other."
