Kate Middleton Joins Women's Charity Group & the Royal Family Is Not Happy

Now that Kate Middleton is on maternity leave, she has some extra time on her hands (you know, between dealing with a newborn and a toddler.) And since she's been enjoying said free time, the Duchess has expressed interest in joining the Anmer branch of the Women's Institute, which is on the Queen's Sandringham estate.

No big deal, right? Actually, there is a bit of drama behind Kate's decision to join, because none other than Camilla Parker-Bowles is also a member, and, as usual, those two ladies just aren't mixing!

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, some people are concerned (cough-Camilla-cough) that the main thing Kate will do by joining the Anmer Women's Institute is, well, outshine Camilla. Clearly, the Duchess has a major following, where as Camilla? Not so much. It also should be noted that the Queen is the president of the Sandringham branch, and she and Kate have reportedly have their issues, also.

More From The Stir: Quiz: How Well Do You Know Kate Middleton?

Apparently, the Women's Institute typically is for women who are a little bit older than the Duchess. She reportedly would be the youngest member by at least 10 years if she joined, so it is slightly strange that she's expressing such interest, but hey! If there's one thing we know, it's that Kate doesn't follow typical royal protocol.

Hopefully, if the Duchess does join the Anmer chapter of the Women's Institute, she and Camilla will find a way to get along with one another. Otherwise, that's going to make for some pretty awkward meetings ... but I'm sure the other members will secretly love it!

Do you think there's really drama between Kate and Camilla?
