Kim Kardashian Angers Fans With Hypocritical Move at Book Signing

Oh, the irony! At a recent signing of Kim Kardashian's new book of selfies, aptly titled Selfish, fans were ... banned from taking selfies. Yes, seriously. The ban was put in place at her signing in New York City, where fans were camped out overnight (yes, seriously). It's speculated that the no selfie rule was to keep the line moving as fast as possible, but how on earth can Kim, Queen of Selfies, tell her fans not to photograph themselves?!

Despite the fact that this "rule" is in place, it's hard to imagine Kim's fans actually abiding by it. It's not like their phones will be taken away -- and after all, Kim herself recently took selfies at the Met Gala, even though Vogue editor Anna Wintour tried to employ a "no selfie" policy.

More From The Stir: Kim Kardashian's Odd New Selfies Send a VERY Clear Message

If someone is a die-hard Kim Kardashian fan, and they finally got the chance to meet her, it's hard to imagine them wanting to do anything other than snap a selfie with her. It's the ultimate photo! But from a logistical stand-point, yes, it would be a nightmare to have every single person want to take a selfie with Kim at her book signing.

In other news, I'm actually a little surprised to hear that fans were camped out so far in advance for Kim's book (and to meet her). After all, Kim pretty much posts all of her selfies to Instagram or Twitter. Why don't fans save themselves some money and just look at them on there? They could even print them out and make their own book!

I've got it all figured out, I tell ya.

Are you going to buy Kim's book?
