Kate Middleton & Prince William Surprise Fans Waiting at Lindo Wing

The world awaits the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's second child -- and a few are waiting just outside the hospital where Kate Middleton will give birth to the new little royal. In a super sweet gesture, Will and Kate sent some sweets to those camped out, and maybe a big hint about the gender!

Among those waiting on the street for Prince George's little brother or sister's arrival is John Loughrey, who is decked out in Union Jack, showing his British pride. Others waiting on the street have been seen with shirts with Prince George's face, reading, "I was here first."

And since Prince William and his lovely bride are basically the best people on the planet, they sent tea and sweets to their loyal fans! Around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning (reportedly days past Kate's due date), they sent 10 cups of tea and two boxes of Danish pastries to those waiting outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital.

But get this -- the boxes of sweets were tied with pink ribbons! Now of course it just could be the color the bakery had on hand ... but with so much speculation that there's going to be a new little princess, we can't help but take it as a definite sign!

Regardless, the kind gesture was much appreciated. Loughrey told Us Weekly, "We couldn't believe it. One of the officers dropped it off and said it was from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. It was a lovely gesture, smashing."

Smashing indeed!

Do you think Kate and Will will have a daughter or another son?
