Kate Middleton Does the Unthinkable at 40 Weeks Pregnant

Kate Middleton is a freak of nature, you guys. A freak of nature. At 40 weeks pregnant -- and a few days before her due date -- the Duchess took Prince George to a petting zoo. I don't know about you, but that's pretty much the last thing on earth I'd want to do at this stage in the game. I mean, I commend her for being such a trooper (and great mom) for her son, but good lord, could you imagine chasing after a toddler at a zoo when you're about to pop? No thanks!

Last week, while Kate was visiting her parents in Berkshire, she decided to take Prince George to Bucklebury Farm Park, a little petting zoo right near her family's home. Apparently, the tiny royal is a regular there, often visiting with Grandma Carole, but during his last visit, his mama decided to tag along, too.

More From The Stir: Kate Middleton Receives Harsh Criticism for 'Abandoning' Prince George

Being that she's set to give birth to her second any day now, it's likely that Kate rallied to spend one-on-one time with George, which she probably won't have too much of shortly after the arrival of her new baby. Giving birth to a second child is such a bittersweet thing -- on the one hand, Kate's giving her first-born a play mate and best friend for life; on the other, her relationship with George is about to drastically change.

I'm sure there will be a bit of an adjustment period for George after Kate gives birth, but from the looks of things, she'll probably handle things just fine. I mean, if the woman can go to a petting zoo with a 1-year-old when she's 40 weeks pregnant, she pretty much can do anything.

When do you think Kate will give birth?
