Kate Middleton's Baby Name Predicted by Royal Betters

Even though Kate Middleton has given no indication as to the gender of her second child, the world is speculating wildly that she's having a little sister for Prince George. Now the same online betting company that predicted George's name has released its odds for the new little royal, and if they're right, Kate and Prince William's daughter will be named Alice.

The U.K.-based Betfair announced this week that Alice is the number one most popular bet for Kate and Will's new little baby -- assuming it's a girl, of course. It just edged out the previous front runner, Elizabeth, and the company said they've had an "unexpected rush of support for Alice over the last 24 hours."

Interestingly, The Stir's very own baby-name expert predicted Alice as one of the top contenders last fall. It must be a sign! There will be an Alice in the palace!

How perfect would it be to have little George and Alice running around making messes and learning to be proper royals? The names are both old-fashioned without being dowdy, and have an edge of freshness to them.

Alice is found in William's lineage too. Queen Elizabeth's aunt was Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester. It's totally perfect, and keeps it all in the family!

Of course, Kate could throw us all and end up having another little boy. If she does, the name predictions are Richard, James, or Arthur. All fine names for George's little bro.

What do you think Duchess Kate will name her new baby?
