Kate Middleton Is Forced to Make Uncomfortable Decision About Her Pregnancy

It's no secret that Kate Middleton is super close with her family. Not only did the Duke and Duchess move in with the Middletons after Prince George's arrival, supposedly Kate's parents, Carole and Michael, were the first people to see the royal baby after he was born. If gossip is to be believed, that did not sit well with Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth, who felt they should have been the first to see their newest relative. So, now this time around, Kate will let William's side of the family see the baby first.

According to OK Magazine (I know, I know), in order to appease Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth, Kate will have them be the first visitors -- before her parents -- after she gives birth this time. "It’s a question of protocol," royal biographer Nicholas Davies said. "The birth of Will and Kate’s second baby is a huge deal, both for the public and for family pride."

Being that she's so close with her mother, it's doubtful that this is the way Kate wants things to go down. (Also, this decision is reportedly set to "drive Carole crazy.") But, when you're married, it's all about compromise. Also, at the end of the day, does it really matter who sees their grandson first?

It's always hard to figure out fact from fiction when it comes to royal gossip, but if this story does in fact have any truth to it, it's pretty immature. Sure, there are royal protocols and traditions, but does it really make that big of a difference? Shouldn't it be about what Kate -- the woman who just gave birth -- wants? And, if it does make such a difference, why can't they all just see the baby at the same time? You know, like one, big happy family?

Hang in there, Kate. Not much longer 'til your pregnancy -- and the accompanying drama -- comes to an end.

What do you think of this?
