Is there anything cuter than a small child with a dog? Not many things. So we're not really surprised by how much Counting On fans loved Joy-Anna (Duggar) Forsyth's latest Instagram post featuring her toddler son Gideon playing with a sweet little pug. Even though the pics were adorable, though, some fans had some major concerns and even said that they felt "uncomfortable" with them.

She captioned the photos, "'Hey there, Pudge ... I love you, Pudge!' ... I guess Pudge isn't a fan of hugs."

It's unclear who Pudge belongs to, as it's unlikely Joy and her husband, Austin Forsyth, got a pet in their current tiny house living situation, but we're sure about at least one thing -- that is a super cute doggy! And he looks like he's being so patient with Gideon, who of course wants to cover the pug in love and hugs.

But some fans were worried that the toddler was being too rough with Pudge.-placeholder

But some fans were worried that the toddler was being too rough with Pudge.

They expressed major concern that Pudge looks "uncomfortable" in the photos, and explained, "This is how kids get bitten and then the dog gets blamed."

Fans were worried about both Gideon and Pudge.-placeholder

Fans were worried about both Gideon and Pudge.

Of course no one wants to see a sweet little boy get hurt for being a normal little boy, and they all just want to make sure he learns the proper boundaries for interacting with animals. Because of course Pudge would get the blame if he ended up nipping at Gideon because he felt threatened.

This is such a tough one, because we don't know the dog's temperament, what exactly was happening in the photo, or even what adults were present.

But we're going to give Joy the benefit of the doubt here -- she's a life-long animal lover, and she's an excellent mother. She's not about to put her precious baby boy in harm's way.
