The Latest on Bobbi Kristina Brown: Were Drugs Involved?

Our worst fears (and some of our suspicions) have reportedly been confirmed: multiple sources told People magazine that Bobbi Kristina Brown was under the influence of heavy drugs prior to being discovered face down and unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31.

People close to Whitney Houston's 21-year-old daughter say she was regularly abusing heroin, cocaine, and Xanax, and that she was also a heavy drinker. Doing any one of those things to excess (or at all where the hard drugs are concerned) is enough to bring about major health issues or worse, but the news that Bobbi may have been engaging in ALL of these substances on a regular basis is absolutely heartbreaking.

And the fact that she reportedly grew up watching her mom and dad take drugs only makes this a hundred times more sad.

Sources are also saying Bobbi was in and out of rehab for three years after her mother's death and that she was trying to get help, but didn't have a good support system around her.

More from The Stir: Bobbi Kristina Brown's Breathing Tube Has Been Removed

Bobbi has remained in a medically induced coma since she was found unresponsive in her home. Doctors reportedly performed a tracheotomy on her this week to prevent possible infections and are said to be slowly lifting her out of her coma, but her condition hasn't changed, according to her family members. We still aren't sure how serious her injuries are at this time.

Despite these drug and alcohol claims, information about what caused Bobbi to become unconscious in her bathtub is either still unknown or hasn't been released. Police reportedly disclosed that her injuries indicated foul play was involved and are investigating this incident as a crime. Boyfriend Nick Gordon is reportedly a person of interest.

Do you suspect drugs were involved in this tragedy?
