Bobbi Kristina Brown's Family May End Her Life on Significant Day

Bobbi Kristina BrownCould Bobbi Kristina Brown's family be ready to let her pass on -- but are waiting for a very special day to do it? Sources tell the New York Post that the family has given doctors permission to take Bobbi off life support, but that they want to do it at the stroke of midnight on February 11, which would be the third anniversary of her mother Whitney Houston's death.

A family source says that letting Bobbi pass on on the same date her mother did would be a symbolic way of keeping the two together for eternity. The source said:

This is the only thing they can agree on -- that she’s gone [brain-dead], and there’s nothing more than can be done for her.

Of course, there have been many rumors swirling since Bobbi was placed in a medically induced coma, and her father Bobby Brown has refuted some of them, so we shouldn't take this latest rumor as gospel. But if they are certain that there is no bringing Bobbi Kristina back from this horrible incident, then taking her off life support on Whitney's anniversary is a touching tribute -- not that there is anything touching about this situation, obviously.

But it may give the family just the tiniest bit of peace feeling that mother and daughter have shared the same day of transition. (Am I avoiding the word "death"? Yes, I am. But what can I say, this is a tragedy that a 21-year-old young woman will be passing on way too soon.)

Meanwhile, reports also say that a criminal investigation has been opened, and police are focusing on Nick Gordon, Bobbi's live-in boyfriend. Reportedly, Bobbi had suspicious injuries to her face and mouth, and police are interested in knowing if the two had a fight before she was found unconscious in the bathtub.

This is all so surreal and awful. Hundreds gathered at an emotional candlelight vigil for Bobbi and prayed for her recovery. Let's hope a miracle happens.

Do you think letting Bobbi die on Whitney's anniversary is a tribute?

Update: Bobby Brown's lawyer has denied that the family has any plans to pull life support from Bobbi on the anniversary of Whitney's death.
