Bobbi Kristina Brown's Estranged Boyfriend Gets a New Tattoo in Her Honor (PHOTO)

Nick Gordon may be banned from visiting Bobbi Kristina Brown while she lays in a coma in the hospital, but that doesn't mean he can't get her name tattooed on his body. Which he did. It could just be a sweet gesture, but the ink definitely raises eyebrows, considering that he's currently under criminal investigation for foul play that may have led to Bobbi Kristina's comatose state.

Family sources believe that there is a history of violence between Gordon and Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter. The 21-year-old was found face down in the bathtub on January 31, in her Atlanta-area home. It's unknown how long she was without oxygen, or what her level of brain activity is now.

Due to some suspicious facial injuries, police opened a criminal investigation, focusing mainly on Gordon. The two claimed that they got married last year, but the family says they were never legally wed.

The tattoo was posted to Gordon's Facebook page, and features his estranged girlfriend's name in cursive script on his left forearm.

It might be a nice way to honor Bobbi Kristina, but it can't change their alleged tumultuous history, or keep the cops from continuing their investigation.

While we are still all hoping for a miraculous recovery, there's a chance that Bobbi won't pull out of this and they family will have to decide whether to keep her on life support indefinitely, or pull the plug.

If that happens, there could even be potential murder charges down the line, depending on what the investigators uncover. Given that Gordon is currently under investigation, and is banned from the hospital where Bobbi is, it just seems like a weird time to get the tattoo.

Then again, he could just be the heartbroken boyfriend trying to hold onto a piece of her until he can see her again.

What do you make of Nick Gordon's new ink?
