Bruce Jenner has been through a lot lately. Not only has he been in the white hot media glare because he is reportedly transitioning to female, but on Saturday he was involved in a three-car collision that left one woman dead. Well, Bruce has spoken out about the deadly car crash, and some of those questions are now answered.

Although Bruce was photographed at the scene and it's clear he was involved somehow, police have not said exactly how. They released a statement saying they did not know whether Bruce was a driver or passenger; however, paparazzi shots taken at the scene seem to clearly show Bruce behind the wheel of his Escalade. It's unclear if it was his car that caused the collision or a car in front of the victim's car.

Bruce was photographed taking a field sobriety test, and TMZ reports that he took a blood test at the police station. He was also photographed in the back of a squad car. Reportedly, he passed the sobriety tests and it was determined that he was not speeding, though early reports said that he told police he was being chased by paps at the time.

More From The Stir: Will Bruce Jenner Be Grandma or Grandpa to Kardashian Kids

As to whether Bruce may have been texting at the time, his publicist, Alan Nierob, says that was not the case. He released a statement saying:

The evidence will show that Bruce was not texting at the time of the accident.

He has released his cellphone to the police. Additionally, Bruce released a statement to US Weekly saying:

My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.

The victim was reportedly identified as Kim Howe, 69, who is said to live in the same Calabasas neighborhood as some of the Kardashians.

According to HollywoodLife.com, Bruce is said to be "traumatized" by the accident. Says a source:

Bruce is overwhelmed with grief and in severe pain over what’s transpired.

Bruce's statement brings the focus back to where this story belongs: on the victim. She had a life, family, friends. It's only natural that people will want to focus on Bruce, since he's famous, but thoughts need to be with the victim and her loved ones. Good for Bruce that he is cooperating in every way possible.
