Latest on Bobbi Kristina Brown: Outlook Is Grim

It isn't looking good for Bobbi Kristina Brown, I'm afraid. After Whitney Houston's 21-year-old daughter was discovered unconscious in her bathtub at the home she shares with her husband, she has been fighting for her life at a hospital. The latest details to emerge are both heartbreaking and confusing—and they coincide with a desperate request from dad Bobby Brown.

Bobbi is reportedly in intensive care in an Atlanta hospital, where she is breathing with the help of a ventilator. She reportedly spent several minutes before she was discovered face down in her bathtub without oxygen and had to be placed in a medically induced coma because she was suffering from brain swelling.

Even though she is alive, sources say Bobbi has "significantly diminished" brain function and that her family is praying for her recovery, but that the situation is looking bleak right now.

Bobby Brown, who has been by his daughter's side the entire time, is reportedly inconsolable, as we can only imagine—and it doesn't help matters that the anniversary of Whitney's death is just a few days away or that the late singer was also found unresponsive in a bathtub.

Brown has released the following statement: "Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."

An investigation is still ongoing, but so far, we know police have confirmed that drugs were not found in the open at the house Bobbi shares with her husband, Nick Gordon. There was also nothing that indicated foul play or that anything out of the ordinary took place that day.

This is so incredibly sad and we're all pulling for Bobbi to recover from this. We will post updates as this story develops.
