Madonna Likes Taylor Swift's Songs So Naturally She Freaked Out

Taylor SwiftWhy do we love Taylor Swift so much? Because no matter how rich or how famous Tay Tay gets, she still somehow seems like she could be our best friend, if we happened to bump into each other at Starbucks or something. Take for example, her recent fan-girl freak out over finding out what Madonna thinks of her own tunes.

Taylor took to her Tumblr on Tuesday, January 27, to share her over-the-top excitement over what Madonna said about her songs. The Queen of Pop has been topping the charts for 30 years, so no doubt people want to know what she thinks about today's crop of stars, including Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, etc.

Madge was on Australia's Today show this week, and said, "It's good to have princesses ... it means there's lots of pretty dresses around."

But the "Living for Love" singer singled out one pop princess in particular, and that's our girl T-Swizzle. "I like Taylor Swift," she commented. "I think she writes some really catchy pop songs. Can't get them out of my head."

The "Material Girl" should know what makes a good pop song, after all.

So then Taylor reminded us why she's our best friend and just doesn't know it yet by commenting on Madonna's interview, "Thanks now I'm dead." The "Style" singer continued with lots of caps and misused hashtags, "#HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THIS #BE COOL TAYLOR STOP BEING EMBARRASSING."

Taylor shamelessly admitted to cyberstalking her fans last fall, and shared that she loved making their days with surprises especially when they said they were dead over her contacting them. When she held a secret listening party for her fans for 1989 before it was released, she gushed of her guests, "I love them so much -- because they always talk about dying!"

Would you freak out if one of your professional idols said they liked your work?
