Jennifer Aniston Says a Ghost Is Responsible for Her Relationship With Justin Theroux

Jennifer AnistonJennifer Aniston has finally found the love of her life (Brad who?) and it might just be due to a ghost. Jen, who has been engaged to the hotilicious Justin Theroux for two years, told a story to The New York Times about dating a man for five years during her early 20s who eventually died of a brain tumor. Wow. Who knew that?!

Jen told the reporter:

He was my first love -- five years we were together. He would have been the one. But I was 25, and I was stupid. He must have sent me Justin to make up for it all.

That's incredibly sad. I admit I don't follow every Jennifer Aniston interview in the world, so perhaps she's mentioned this before, but it's the first I've heard of it.

Of course, if her former boyfriend is orchestrating her love life from the beyond, well, he has kind of a sharp sense of humor. I mean, that whole thing with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (a few of you might remember that) was not the work of a guardian angel with only good intentions!

Perhaps he only took over Jen's love life after that. But even then, Jen had some doozies. Remember Vince Vaughn? Oooh. And John Mayer. That was bad. Someone please tell Jen's boyfriend not to take over the love lives of any more living people! Haha. But, hey, he finally figured it out with Justin. Actually, I wouldn't mind having this guy send me a Justin too!

But seriously, this is really sad. I can't imagine what Jen went through. Perhaps the pain of that is something she drew on for her new role in Cake, in which she plays a frazzled woman addicted to pain pills.

For the role, Jen gained weight, stripped off her makeup, and got rid of her famous highlights. She's beginning to get awards buzz for her acting -- at the same time Angelina is getting awards buzz for directing Unbroken.

Can someone say rumble at the Oscars?

Juuuuust kidding. We know it's all water under the bridge. But that doesn't mean the cameras won't pan to Angelina if Jen wins anything and vice versa! Dumb cameras.

Have you ever had a guardian angel?
