Kim Kardashian's Explanation for Why She Doesn't Smile Is No Laughing Matter

Kim Kardashian

Have you ever noticed the fact that Kim Kardashian rarely smiles in photos? Sure, she always looks glamorous and put together, but most of the time, she doesn't appear to be too happy about having her picture taken, what with how serious her facial expressions are. But apparently there's a method to her misery, as she's finally explained to the world why she has such a tough time cracking a grin.

See I do smile... even laugh on occasion. Not too often though because it causes wrinkles @shammaurice

Wow. She's really taking the whole "laugh lines" concept quite literally, don't you think? Gah. Most women in their mid-30s worry a little about the aging process, but would you ever stop yourself from smiling or laughing for the sake of maintaining a more youthful appearance?

I know looking as gorgeous as possible is kind of her job and all, but man, if Kim is really preventing herself from expressing emotion in the hopes of stopping wrinkles from developing on her face, I actually feel pretty sorry for her.

I mean, letting yourself experience joy is one of the greatest gifts in life, so it just seems ridiculously vain and sad to limit smiling, especially when you have so much to be happy about.

Kim has a beautiful daughter, a booming career, a husband who seemingly adores her (most of the time), and all of the luxuries anyone could possibly desire. She ought to cut herself some slack and make a New Year's resolution to chuckle at least once a day in 2015. Life is way too short to go through looking all stone-faced, right?

Besides, even if smiling does contribute to wrinkles, Kim does it beautifully. Something tells me when she's old and gray, she'd rather look back at photos of herself where she's blissful and content as opposed to depressed, cold, and downright miserable.

Would you stop smiling to prevent wrinkles?
