This is so scary. In the early hours of Friday morning, Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested after getting into a physical fight with on-off girlfriend Jen Harley ... and the details are terrifying. We know that these two have always had a volatile relationship, but this is on another level.

We hope everyone is okay.

Ronnie has been arrested after allegedly chasing Jen with a knife, and police had to tase him.

According to TMZ, police arrested Ronnie after being called to their Los Angeles Airbnb around 2:30 a.m. Reports said Jen ran from the house, screaming, after Ronnie allegedly punched and slapped her, leading concerned neighbors to call 911.

To make matters worse, Ronnie apparently went after her outside with a knife to get her to come back into the house ... and she was holding their daughter, Ariana, 18 months, at the time.

Ronnie locked himself in the house with Ariana, and refused to come outside when police arrived.

This apparently led to police breaking down his door and tasing him to get him to comply. He was taken to the hospital to be examined after authorities arrested him. (He was booked after the hospital visit.)

Jen and Ariana were also evaluated by paramedics, and although Jen had visible marks on her face, they were both deemed to be suffering from no major injuries, which is so good to hear.

TMZ later reported that Ronnie was booked on kidnapping charges.

The site also says that Jen told police that Ronnie had been doing cocaine, which could explain his behavior. Yikes.

This is hardly the first time an incident like this has happened between Jen and Ronnie. Last year, Jen was arrested on a charge of domestic violence after "dragging" him with her car. Earlier that month, they'd also gotten into another physical altercation while he was filming for the show in Vegas.

Whatever's going on, we hope everyone is okay.

This is obviously a really scary situation for everyone involved, especially because Jen and Ronnie have a history of violence in their relationship.

But most of all, we're worried about Ariana. She should be able to feel safe with her parents, and we're so relieved that she's all right.
