Stephen Colbert's Epic Farewell Sing-Along Features Pretty Much Every Celebrity Ever (VIDEO)

colbert report farewellMany fans had a suspicion that when it came time for Stephen Colbert to bid farewell to his beloved show, he'd have one hell of an epic finale. It was announced that "Grimmy" the Grim Reaper would be the final guest on The Colbert Report, capping off an incredible nine-year run for the show. But of course Colbert concluded his Report with an amazing, star-studded (seriously, there are so many) performance of Vera Lynn's "We'll Meet Again." And it's something you just have to see.

From Jon Stewart to Big Bird to Jeff Daniels to Katie Couric to James Franco to Christiane Amanpour to Bryan Cranston to George Lucas, and even some soldiers overseas and an astronaut, it seemed almost inevitable that Colbert would bid farewell to Report in such an incredible "We Are the World"-like fashion. Keith Olbermann even shows up in a hot pink suit! Seriously, there are far too many celebs to list, you'll just have to see this one for yourself. What a popular dude!

After the musical number, Colbert and his Captain America shield are shown on the roof of his studio. Such a fitting end, isn't it?

No doubt fans of The Colbert Report are in mourning right now, but expectations sure are high for the funny man's next venture into late night, taking over for David Letterman next year.

"Well folks, we've finally come to the end of The Colbert Report," Colbert said to the camera. "Nine great years. That was fun. That's the show. From eternity, I'm Stephen Colbert. Jon?"

"Thanks for that report, Stephen," Stewart said.

And that's a wrap!
