Chris Hemsworth Slams Brother Liam for All the Right Reasons

Chris Hemsworth GQ CoverAhh, there's nothing like brotherly love, is there? Or is it more like sibling rivalry? You tell us what you think after you hear about what Chris Hemsworth had to say about his baby bro Liam Hemsworth in the January 2015 issue of GQ magazine.

The 31-year-old dad of three told the mag, "I've watched Liam do things I did at his age ... like being in relationships he shouldn't be in, or being reckless just to prove a point. And I had no empathy. My mom had to remind me I was the same way."

Hmmm, could that possibly be a slam to Liam's failed engagement with Miley Cyrus? Can't really blame him for that one ... she sort of went from Disney pop princess to a tongue-lolling twerkster overnight. But to each their own. Of course, Chris could be referring to the fact that his little bro was photographed hooking up with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez just the day after he and Miley officially put the word out that they were over. Whoops.

Chris, who is now happily married to Elsa Pataky, says that becoming a father grounded him, but it wasn't always that way. In fact, it was their elder brother Luke who helped him come back down to earth when his ego got too big while starring Australian soap opera Home and Away.

"Back when I was still on the soap, I became incredibly insecure and full of anxiety because I didn't know if I was any good," Chris said. "Yet I wanted it so bad. I spent years being angsty, constantly telling people I wasn't just part of a soap opera, that I was a real artist. And I remember Luke sort of snapping, telling me to shut up, that he was sick of hearing it."

Another thing that helped him get over himself was starring in the Aussie version of Dancing With the Stars in 2006. He came in fifth place, and joked, "After that show, I could never pull the serious, self-important card again."

And of course enjoying family life with his gorgeous model wife and their kiddos, daughter India, 2, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, 8 months, has mellowed him out too. "The fame, the parties, the women -- I did that stuff back home ... I got away with a lot more over there. Then I came here and sort of started over."

Sounds like he has a lot of great advice for his younger brother on making it as a grownup in Hollywood. You know, if he's willing to listen.

Do you think younger siblings ever listen to their elder siblings or do they have to learn everything their own way?
