Kourtney Kardashian's Post-Baby Lipo Plans Will Let Down Her Fans

Hear ye, hear ye: Kourtney Kardashian is reportedly eager to schedule a liposuction procedure after she delivers baby number three, at least so says RadarOnline.

Why is the thought of a mother of three looking to regain her post-baby body through a bit of surgery news, you ask? Well, for one, consider the subject. No member of the Kardashian clan can leave their home without it making some kind of headline, but this report out of Kamp Kards is pretty surprising given the organic, earth mother persona Kourtney has exuded as of late.

In fact, the eldest Kardashian sib tells DuJour magazine this month:

I'm not embarrassed of my body. I'm at my best when I'm pregnant. It's such an amazing feeling, the transformation that your body goes through. There's something about that that's so empowering and beautiful and I just really embrace it.

She said all of this in an interview that accompanied her nude pregnancy spread -- so, if the interest in lipo is true, why the change of heart?

As a mother of two myself, I completely get the appeal of a little surgery to return to one's pre-baby self and admit to half-jokingly, half-wishfully telling my OB she was free to give me a little tummy tuck as she sewed me up after my c-section (stone-faced, she told me to keep dreaming).

Radar's source says:

She's stressed about it (her pregnancy weight gain) and looking into seeing how soon she can do liposuction after giving birth.

This is distressing to me on a few levels, foremost because I would wish for the mother of a newborn to be more worried about taking care of said child and herself during this delicate time, not planning her next "How I Got My Pre-Baby Body Back" cover.

I also think I'm a little disappointed for selfish reasons. It would be nice to have an actual, authentic celebrity champion for embracing one's post-baby body, which can be a really difficult aspect of motherhood (and, no, I don't care how vain that might sound). It's not Kourtney's responsibility to be that person, but it sure would be nice.

If money was no object, would you consider plastic surgery so quickly after giving birth?
