Which Fake Names Do Celebs Use? Sony Hacking Scandal Exposes Secret Aliases

Yikes, I don't know about you, but the more that gets exposed from this major hack into Sony Pictures, the more freaked out I get. This is serious business that executives' salaries and employees' personal information are being leaked on what seems like a daily basis. Is it North Korea sending a message about the James Franco/Seth Rogen movie The Interview

That's what makes me most nervous! But at least something a little lighthearted was released ... the aliases that celebrities use to check into hotels and other places when they want to be "anonymous." And to be clear, it's not okay that these were hacked into and released, but at least it's not something like Social Security numbers, and they can always come up with new ones.

Here's a list of the best ones:

Sarah Michelle Gellar: "Neely O'Hara" -- a reference to a character from Valley of the Dolls.

Tobey Maguire: "Neil Deep" -- has no real meaning but perhaps an inside joke of some sort?

Natalie Portman: "Lauren Brown" -- um, that's me! I've never met or interviewed Natalie but perhaps she reads The Stir?

Clive Owen: "Robert Fenton" -- a nod to his wife whose maiden name is Fenton.

Rob Schneider: "Nazzo Good" -- get it? Not so good ...

Taye Diggs: "Scott Diggs" -- kinda boring as Scott is Taye's real name.

Jude Law: "Mr. Perry" -- I'd like to think this is in honor of Mr. Perry, the character Neil's overbearing father in Dead Poets Society, but who knows!

Daniel Craig: "Olwen Williams" -- ahh, this is a sweet tribute to Daniel's grandfather Olwyn Williams.

Jessica Alba: "Cash Money" -- must be homage to her husband Cash Warren.

Ice Cube: "Darius Stone" and "O'Shea Jackson" -- Darius Stone was his character name in XXX: State of the Union, and O'Shea Jackson is Ice Cube's given name.

Debra Messing: "Ava Harper" -- just sounds like an old-fashioned movie star's name to me!

If I were to ever need an alias, it would be Nora Tyler to pay tribute to my favorite writer Nora Ephron and my favorite singer Steven Tyler. But yes, while it's fun to see what the stars choose for their pseudonyms, it kinda defeats the purpose now that they are out in the open. I hope they get to the bottom of this hacking scandal soon and put an end to it ASAP.

What do you think about the hacking and what would your alias be?
